Principles of Authorship

Travel back in time with our five principles of authorship to unlock your story!

1. Move from Abundance

The first principle to unlocking your story is to "move from abundance". Focusing on your strengths and skills can provide powerful insights into where your values lie. Understanding where you are in this present moment allows for a story based upon growth to naturally develop and unfold. Such an approach sets the stage for greater abundance in the future, since you are tending to where you are and what you have, rather than focusing on any perceptions based upon lack.

2. Chronicle Historical Events

Once you have an idea of where you are, along with your strengths and skills, it is time to look back at what you have done.  By looking back through time, you build a chronicle of historical events that serves as the basis for your story. Exercising this approach allows your timeline to develop uninhibitedly, as long as you remain receptive to the events as they present themselves.

3. Remain Receptive

Your story will continue to refine itself as long as you remain receptive to historical events, chronicling them as they present themselves. Adopting a historical approach requires you to remain receptive to all events and their associated nuances, regardless of your personal opinions. If your story begins to wither and stagnate, there is a good chance that you have lost your place in time, and that an important event was left out of your timeline.

Mental Note: Look to Acceptance

4. Integrate Your Past

The more receptive you are, the more defined your timeline will become as you continue to incorporate your own unique experiences. One of your most valuable resources is your past. While experiences may be shared, your past is yours and yours alone. Looking back to your beginnings provides a context for your events, giving rise to your own unique story by integrating your past with the present. This approach sets the stage for transformation and growth as your chronicle refines itself into your story.

5. Continue to Refine

As your story evolves from your chronicle it takes on a life of its own. As this transformation occurs it becomes more and more important to know where you stand so that you can continue to move from abundance. Knowing where you stand returns you back to the first elemental principle which becomes the catalyst for a cycle of continuous growth and transformation. This cycle is formed by the first four elemental principles. The more you repeat this cycle the more refined your story becomes.

Mental Note: Look to Evolve
